Kuskokwim Wilderness Adventures in cooperation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, conducts springtime birding trips on the Gweek River.
One day tours leave Bethel at 6:00 am from the Bethel Boat Harbor. Up to 12 people may go in two covered boats. We travel up the river 40 miles stopping at different bird habitats. A U.S.F&W songbird specialist often travels along to describe and identify up to 60 species of birds.
Resident mammals such as moose, fox, otter, beaver, hare and porcupine are often seen.
A Deli Lunch is provided as part of the tour during one of the stops. Boats return to Bethel around 3:00pm. $125.00 per person Tours are conducted in May and June.Reservations are required.
