The Kuskokwim Wilderness Kisaralik Camp is located approximately 80 miles up river from the Southwest Alaskan town of Bethel. Bethel receives 3 jet flights a day from Anchorage, and after arriving you will be taken by boat on a three hour trip up to the camp.
The established camp is comfortable and clean. Large 2 person wall tents with cots are provided, a bug free eating area, toilet and shower facilities. Three delicious well-balanced meals are served daily. Lunches are usually deli-style served on the river during day trips, dinners are gourmet-style using fresh local ingredients and featuring Harris Ranch Beef. (See a sample menu)
Activities during the trip can vary depending on the interests of the party. The Kisaralik River is one of the world's premier trout and salmon streams. It is also home to many birds, bears, wolves, moose and caribou. For fishers, day long (6-8hrs) guided fishing trips leave camp daily for the upriver sections. We operate three jet boats for speed and comfort on the river. The river is home to trophy rainbow, Dolly Varden, grayling and visiting king salmon (July) and silver salmon (August). Expert guides will find the fish. Join us for "The fishing adventure of a lifetime!"
This year is the second year that we will be offering a "Couples Camp" It was very successful and a lot of fun last year.
All of Kuskokwim Wilderness' guides are U.S. Coast Guard licensed, with a lifetime of experience, and certified in CPR/First Aid.
Two person minimum (may join other parties if less than 3) $500 per night. The camp goes from Monday-Saturday, 5 nights and includes: transportation to and from Bethel, guided day trips, food and lodging. Fishing licenses are available at camp.
